We are living in the modern post-feminist world. I’m always in support of women’s rights, but it’s gone way to the other direction. For instance, a woman who accuses a man of rape is enough to fully destroy his reputation.
So even the thought of someone discussing or challenging a woman’s allegation of rape is considered a mischievous and anti-woman.
Men are viewed almost as secondary in our society. Particularly in the law, the courts and the media. Men’s rights and protections are the last.
Men can’t protect themselves if they’re assaulted by women, or else in most cases, they’ll end up being convicted.
Women can slap, beat, or otherwise attack a guy, and people will either laugh or ask, “What did you do to make her beat you?” “Imagine telling a female survivor of domestic abuse to do that?
Today is a wake-up call to take male suicide seriously. Twelve men die every day with their own hands. According to Huffingtonpost, 76% of the lives lost to suicide in the United Kingdom are male. It’s not enough to tell the men to reach out for help. The problem is still unanswered. Why men?
According to a report published in The Guardian, 29% of male first-time offenders were sentenced to custody.
For women, that figure was 17%. Men have a 62% chance of being bailed, while for women that figure is 80% and on average men serve 53% of their sentence but women serve 5% less than that. The housing charity Crisis found that 84% of the hidden homeless were male.
Another report published in The Guardian says, “More than 40% of domestic violence victims are male.”
An article published in the Huffpost says that Men Sentenced To Longer Prison Terms Than Women For Same Crimes.
MEN ARE STATISTICALLY MORE LIKELY TO GO TO PRISON THAN WOMEN FOR THE SAME CRIME.
Nevertheless, we should give the same respect to both men and women, even though men are suffering from a struggle that is often unspeakable.
MEN WERE SEEN AS BEING WEAK OR UNMANLY IN SOME WAY IF THEY EXPRESSED THEMSELVES THROUGH CRYING.
MEN ARE NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE. THEY ALSO GET SAD, DEPRESSED. THEY ALSO HAVE FEELINGS.
MEN ARE TAUGHT FROM AN EARLY AGE THAT THEY NEED TO BE STRONG, CONFIDENT AND STOIC.
MEN ARE USUALLY RIDICULED IF THEY EXPRESS THE SOFTER EMOTIONS, ESPECIALLY IN THE PRESENCE OF OTHER MEN
